YB-12 / Product overview
One enclosure. Three coordinated equipment scopes.
Specify the interfaces between the compartments as carefully as the equipment within them.
Medium-voltage compartment
Define incoming and outgoing functions, protection, metering, cable entry and the connection to the transformer.
Transformer compartment
Coordinate capacity, voltage ratio, vector group, impedance, tapping, cooling and the installation environment.
Low-voltage distribution
Specify the incomer, outgoing feeders, metering, compensation and protection requirements from the load schedule.
Technical reference
Key specifications and their application
Use the reference values below to start selection. The confirmed unit, drawings and technical agreement define the supplied equipment.
On a small screen, scroll the table horizontally to see the scope of each value.
| Item | Reference | How to apply it |
|---|---|---|
| Product family | YB-12 | Prefabricated transformer substation |
| Typical catalogue system | 10 / 0.4 kV | Confirm the required HV/LV ratio for the project |
| HV equipment class | 12 kV | Maximum HV operating voltage stated in the catalogue |
| Rated frequency | 50 Hz | Published catalogue reference |
| Transformer capacity | Up to 3150 kVA | Project capability, subject to the confirmed design |
| Equipment arrangement | MV + transformer + LV | Complete scope agreed against the SLD / BOQ |

| Enclosure and dimensions | Approved project drawings | Ventilation, access, cable routing and footprint to be confirmed |
Configuration & interfaces
Confirm the complete substation, including its interfaces
Agree the transformer and switching equipment together with the physical enclosure and installation requirements.
Electrical configuration
SLD, transformer data, protection philosophy, metering and LV feeder schedule define the supplied equipment.
Enclosure arrangement
Available footprint, doors, ventilation, cable entry and maintenance space define the project layout.
Site and delivery scope
State altitude, temperature, corrosion or seismic requirements, transport constraints and the required inspection documents.
Technical documents
Find the document for your next decision
Use product information for initial selection, then confirm project drawings and the evidence for the exact equipment you specify.

Selection questions
YB-12 questions
What is included in a YB-12 substation?
The coordinated arrangement contains MV switching and protection, a transformer compartment and LV distribution. The final equipment and enclosure scope are specified for the project.
What transformer capacity can be evaluated?
Project designs can be evaluated up to 3150kVA. The final transformer type, rating, cooling, enclosure and MV/LV arrangement must be confirmed together.
Does the available test report cover all capacities?
Report XG20051080 applies to the stated YB□ (STYB□)-12/0.4-1600 model and 1600kVA scope. It must not be treated as evidence for every capacity option.
What information should I send first?
Start with your country, required transformer capacity if known, and the application. We can then clarify voltage ratio, load, MV/LV configuration, protection, installation and delivery requirements.
Can the enclosure and drawings be customized?
Door arrangement, ventilation, cable entry, enclosure material, colour and protection degree can be coordinated with the project specification. GA dimensions follow the confirmed configuration.
