The final inspection and testing scope is defined by the applicable product standard, approved drawings, project specification and agreed inspection and test plan. The following matrix describes the normal control logic; exact test items remain project-specific.
| Stage | Typical control points | Typical records |
|---|---|---|
| Incoming inspection | Component identity, ratings, quantity, visible condition and approved make where specified | Incoming check or material verification record |
| Mechanical assembly | Panel alignment, doors, partitions, operating mechanisms, earthing parts and fasteners | Assembly and visual inspection record |
| Busbar and primary circuit | Arrangement, connection, clearances, identification and torque control according to the approved design | Process inspection record |
| Secondary wiring | Wire numbering, terminal blocks, continuity, schematic correspondence and control-circuit functions | Wiring and functional check record |
| Mechanical operation | Switching operation, indications, shutters or doors where applicable, key and mechanical interlocks | Mechanical operation checklist |
| Electrical routine tests | Applicable insulation, main-circuit resistance, auxiliary-circuit, functional and protection checks | Routine test report according to agreed scope |
| Final release | Nameplate, labels, accessories, documents, cleanliness, packing protection and shipping marks | Final inspection and packing checklist |
FAT Workflow
- Plan: agree the inspection and test plan, witness points, participants and acceptance documents.
- Prepare: freeze approved SLD, GA, schematics, component schedule and project-specific test requirements.
- Inspect: complete visual, mechanical, wiring, interlock, functional and agreed electrical checks.
- Record: document results and identify any punch items without concealing deviations.
- Close: complete accepted corrections and issue the agreed records before shipment release.
Technical Handover Documents
The document package may include approved drawings, datasheets, component schedule, routine-test records, FAT records, packing list and operation information according to the contract scope. Certificates and type-test reports are supplied only where genuinely available and applicable to the agreed product.
